This 'taster' course is intended to provide basic computer skills and improve parents' perceptions of themselves as learners.

You will incur no expense, as King's College will provide the training staff and resource materials from an ESF / LSC project fund. Your contribution would be to make a computer room available for a minimum 2-hour slot at a regular time during the week for 5 consecutive weeks. We will send you a batch of flyers to distribute to the parents. We will then write to all the parents who have returned a reply slip to the school office.

Since 2001, about 400 parents in 50 primary schools across London have taken part and said how much they have benefited form the course. Many have passed Key Skills qualifications and use the Uni4U facilities at King's College.
