This CD provides a basic introduction into how to approach academic writing. So, it is a very good starting point. It contains more than 20 tasks about two different student essays: one good, the other poor.
Some of the tasks are about the standard King's College assessment criteria.

CD2: Academic Writing Programme
(Reading for Writing)



This CD is more challenging than CD1. It helps to develop good reading skills. It focuses on one published article about Diabetes and contains nearly 40 tasks. It demonstrates three things: the value of reading published articles for acquiring knowledge; that this kind of reading can be made simple; how the right kind of reading can be useful in developing good writing skills.
